That's Kate running around in her back yard with Lake, who has the frisbee. Kate was the loyal companion to my friend John, who worked as a photographer in Oberlin, Ohio where I went to college.

I really liked going to John's house, which was very close to the campus, but not on it. It was a nice break from the pace of campus life.

John still lives in that house, still has a dog, his photography, and a few good friends. I think he got the important things in life just right.
